Mobile-First vs. Desktop-First
Mobile-First oder Desktop-First? In diesem Leitfaden erfahren Sie, welche Strategie sich für Ihr Webprojekt wirklich lohnt – und worauf Sie bei der Entscheidung achten sollten.

In public perception, the topic of artificial intelligence is often associated with a name: ChatGPT. But in his shadow, a second force is developing that wants to set standards not only technically but also ethically — Claude from Anthropic. Unlike many other AI systems, Claude focuses on safety, controllability and communication that is as human-like as possible.
In this article, you will find out exactly what distinguishes Claude from other tools, what makes him particularly interesting for business use and how companies can integrate it sensibly into their work processes.
Claude is an AI language model developed by the US company Anthropic. The founders — including several former OpenAI employees — took a different approach from the start: Instead of building the most powerful AI at any price, Claude has the so-called Constitutional AI-Focus on approach. This is a method that controls the behavior of AI not through human feedback, but through a set of rules (a “constitution”).
With Claude, Anthropic aims to create a language model that acts reliably, comprehensibly and ethically — and is therefore suitable for sensitive areas of application such as legal advice, compliance or education.
While many AI systems are defined by their performance in benchmarks or the number of tokens processed, Claude is taking other paths. As with ChatGPT, the architecture is based on transformer models, but the focus is clearly on security, clarity and controllability. This is reflected in several aspects:
Claude is therefore an interesting alternative, especially for companies that place high demands on data protection, quality assurance and audit security.
Claude is suitable for similar areas of application as GPT models, but often shows different behavior in practice. The following provides an overview of typical fields of application:
1. Customer service and chatbots:
With his careful and explanatory nature, Claude can be used particularly well for dialogue-oriented applications. The language style is less automatic and is suitable for sensitive contexts, such as insurance companies or authorities.
2. Document analysis:
The model can summarize large amounts of text in a structured way and analyze them according to specific criteria. Claude offers advantages, particularly in legal or regulatory contexts, because it often clearly identifies uncertainties.
3. Code review and software documentation:
Even though Claude is not primarily designed for programming support, code snippets can be analyzed and documented. In software development, for example, it can help to translate API descriptions into understandable language.
4. Creative writing:
Texts such as blog articles, newsletters or advertising texts can also be generated with Claude. This depends on the context and the desired style.
The original Claude model was published back in 2023. Since then, Anthropic has added several versions — such as Claude 2 and most recently Claude 3, which was presented in spring 2024. Each new generation is characterized by:
These improvements make Claude particularly attractive for professional users who need to process complex documents, large amounts of data or multilingual content. This is particularly relevant in the areas of LegalTech and MedTech — Claude scores points here with his ability to react sensitively to formal language and uncertainties.
Even though Claude is often referred to as an “antagonist” to ChatGPT, a differentiated look is worthwhile. Both systems pursue different goals, which is reflected both technically and in everyday use:
Of course, choosing the right system ultimately depends on the application. But for decision makers or developers in a professional environment, it is worthwhile to at least include Claude in the evaluation, especially when ethical guidelines, data protection or audit security play a role.
Claude can be integrated into existing systems via the Anthropic API. Some platforms — including Slack and Notion — have already launched pilot projects with Claude or are planning appropriate integrations.
Technically, Claude uses a REST API model with high stability and clearly documented functionality. This makes integration into existing toolsets or platforms easier. If you're working in e‑commerce or CRM, for example, you can use Claude to automatically support processes such as customer communication or data classification.
At this point, it's worth pointing out: The Techwerk team is also working intensively on integrating advanced AI tools into individual business setups. Claude is one of many, but is becoming increasingly relevant.
Before you use Claude productively, it is recommended to take a closer look at licensing, API conditions, and potential data protection issues. Although Anthropic works closely with regulatory authorities and positions itself transparently, stricter standards apply, particularly in Europe.
Training your employees also plays an important role. Claude may be easier to control than other AI systems, but this also requires a solid understanding of prompting. In many cases, accompanying change management is worthwhile — especially when existing work processes are to be automated or supplemented.
If you want to use Claude as a strategic tool, a pilot phase with selected areas of responsibility is worthwhile. This allows you to quickly see whether the model works fits your workflow and whether Claude meets your requirements in terms of security, data quality and comprehensibility.
